Reba: from The Grande Old Op’ry to Carnegie Hall.

I found Reba to be a terrific Nellie Forbush. She captures the “country” voice to deliver “Cockeyed Optimist,” and there’s a real truth when she sings “He’s a cultured Frenchman, I’m a little hick.” The recording is also available on DVD of the concert.

The Boy from Oz. Have you ever listened to this?

I owned this OBC for nearly a year before I actually took the time to listen and discovered that it is quite good. Hugh Jackman does a great job, obviously giving out more energy than I thought possible on a recording. Don't be as close-minded as I was, thinking that a musical biography made up of songs written by that person, with a story forced between songs, couldn't be quality entertainment.

It's sad for me to believe what I nearly missed!

When Pigs Fly

This recording is so much fun that I'd "fly" to have a chance to see it on stage!

Do you think this deserved the Tony over Avenue Q?
